Exciting New Features In 2018 Hybrid Cars

The hybrid car industry is listening closely to consumers. As new models are released we are seeing amazing tech under the hood and in the cabin for the driver. At DJ’s Auto Repair we work hard to ensure we are able to provide even the latest models with hybrid car repair.

1. Space.

We’ll have our energy-efficiency and eat take-out too. In the past, hybrids have not been known  for their spacious interiors. As modern hybrid technology advances, hybrids vehicles have more and more space. The 2018 Hyundai Ioniq has 26.5 cubic feet of space specifically for storage.

Now you have space for road trips, DIY projects, and more. Maybe you have a trunk full of cupcakes by the dozen. We aren’t asking questions. We’re just asking you to take it in for your hybrid car repair if you need one.

Not all eco-friendly cars are getting more spacious. The new 2018 Honda Clarity FC runs on a hydrogen tank instead of a gas tank. This makes it extremely eco-friendly. Since the technology needs space, interior space is limited.

2. Power and Hybrid Car Repair Maintenance.

A large complaint drivers have against hybrid vehicles is their lack of power. That is steadily changing as new models are released. For example, the 2018 Honda Insight Hybrid has 151 horsepower and 197 lb-feet of torque.

The 2018 Honda Clarity BEV, the version of the Clarity line-up that runs on a pure electric engine, has 161 horsepower and 25.5Wh battery capacity. Once fully charged, this eco-friendly vehicle can go 89 miles before it needs to be charged again. It also features quick-charging stations, so when it is time to charge, it won’t take too much time. Not sure what any of that means? When you bring it in for it’s hybrid car repair, our certified mechanics can explain everything you need to know about it.

What about luxury? BMW isn’t far behind. The 2018 BMW i3 is a plug-in hybrid. Reviews boast that this eco-friendly, luxury vehicle has a powerful acceleration and sporty handling. Just like you’d expect from BMW. At an MPG-e of 97, this hybrid has the best MPG-e rating in its class.

3. Safety.

As safety features improve across the board for all car manufacturers, it makes sense that hybrids are also getting new features. They are growing their list of standard safety features. The 2018 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid will feature several safety features standard on the whole line-up. These safety features include blind spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert system.

The 2018 Lexus NX Hybrid has been praised for its industry-leading, best-in-class safety and reliability scores.

4. Style.

Hybrids are becoming more stylish as they grow in popularity. Getting away from their reputation for being unsightly and having boring driving dynamics. The 2018 Toyota Prius Prime has been reviewed by critics saying it doesn’t even look like a prius—a compliment? We’ll definitely be handing out compliments when you bring it in for a hybrid car repair.

This is good news for drivers that were avoiding eco-friendly hybrids for their looks.

Not only are we good at any hybrid car repair, we’re great with everything and anything that comes to auto repair. Check out what we do here.
